Antic Balneari de Rocallaura

The Old Spa of Rocallaura is a Hostel and Hostel built on a typical Catalan farmhouse with a square floor, probably from the 19th century, and the expansion dates back to 1924. In its origins, it was the Rocallaura Spa where people went to take the waters, the Rocallaura Water, indicated for the elimination of kidney stones. It is located on the Cistercian Route, 4 km from Vallbona de les Monges, 20 km from Poblet and 45 from Santes Creus, in the Urgell region and the supra-region of the Vall d'el Corb. In the surroundings, there are a large number of cultural and gastronomic visits to be made: the Monasteries of the Cistercian Route, the Toy Museum of Verdú, Arbeca, the so-called Iberian Troy, the Wine Museum of l'Espluga de Francolí, wineries and oil cooperatives, and many more excursions to discover the territory. The house has two types of accommodation, the Hostal Casa-Fonda and the Hostel. • The Hostal has 7 rooms with a bathroom. • The Hostel has two rooms with 35 places each, the showers and toilets are adjacent to the rooms but not in the same rooms. Hostel guests must bring a sleeping bag or similar, the beds have a sheet for the mattress, a pillow, and a cover for it. The hostel has two rooms with about 35 places each, for which a minimum occupancy is required, especially in winter. The house has a restaurant service, in winter, on weekends, and in summer every day. In addition, during the months of March and April, we organize calçotades.
