La Caseta del Querol

La Caseta de l'Querol is a small village house in Borredà, a beautiful mountain town in Alt Berguedà, 1:15h from Barcelona. It is located on a cobbled street, one of the oldest in the town, next to the main square. Due to its location, it enjoys the charm of the old town on one side, and on the other side, magnificent views of the mountains. On the ground floor, there is a shop selling artisan products, owned by the same owners, and the 85m2 accommodation occupies the two upper floors with a capacity of 4 to 6 people. The construction, made of stone and wood, has been completely restored, enhancing the rustic character of the house on one hand, and equipping it with all the current comforts and facilities on the other hand, to offer a comfortable stay. The limited capacity of the house makes it ideal for a single family, and an open concept distribution has been chosen, except for the bathrooms and some half walls that provide privacy to the bedrooms. These articulated spaces make it attractive and welcoming. La Caseta de l'Querol has two bedrooms with a bathroom, one on each floor. Both are very similar in size and decoration. The antique furniture, restored and modernized, follows the general tone of the house. The double beds, with cotton sheets and duvets, provide a comfortable night's rest. The bathrooms, rustic but practical, have a large shower tray with a hydro-massage column. They are equipped with various accessories: hairdryer, magnifying mirror, and soap dispenser, as well as towel sets and toilet paper, of course. From the ground floor hallway, you can access the first floor to a large space where there is the dining room and the open kitchen. In the dining room, a large table with a wooden bench and rocking chairs invites you to enjoy good meals and long conversations. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, electric stove and oven, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, toaster, and all the necessary utensils such as pots, pans, paella pans, trays, spatulas, dishes, cutlery, individual tablecloths... From the kitchen, you can access a balcony with a charcoal barbecue and a wooden shed with the washing machine and cleaning equipment. The living room, about 25m2, is on the second floor and is accessed from the dining room by a beautiful wooden staircase. The ceilings are under the roof, which gives it a very cozy atmosphere. It is divided into two areas, one with a large TV screen, and the other dominated by a bioethanol fireplace. It has a large balcony that leads to the terrace, making it bright and allowing you to enjoy beautiful views. The terrace is ideal for both the winter morning sun and the coolness of summer nights, with a backdrop of mountains and green forests.
