Hostal rural Falgars

Rural hostel Falgars, 10 minutes from La Pobla de Lillet and 90 minutes from Barcelona. Located next to a hermitage and surrounded by a protected natural area. The current building dates back to 1646 and preserves some materials from the original Romanesque hermitage. The first sanctuary is documented in 1049. The sanctuary of Falgars is dedicated to the Virgin of Falgars. According to legend, the image was found by a bull in what is now called the Cave of the Virgin. Falgars celebrates several popular and religious festivities: Saint Mark in April, the gathering of the villagers in June, the main festival of the Sanctuary, on the Sunday closest to September 8th.
