Can Coll de Pincaró is a magnificent 17th-century farmhouse, perfectly restored, in an idyllic and untouched location in the Pyrenees of Girona; surrounded by forest and silence for many kilometers around, at night we don't see any other light than the moon and the stars. Between Alta Garrotxa and Alt Empordà, at an altitude of 600 meters, we enjoy fabulous views that stretch from the Gulf of Roses to Canigó. Here, there is no asphalt, no power lines, no microwaves, no noise from engines... We are located next to a chestnut forest, a 20-minute walk from the Muga River, on the route of the Romanesque hermitages, the GR-11, and several mountain biking circuits. Alta Garrotxa is an extensive and rugged mid-mountain territory, with narrow gorges and rivers with paradisiacal natural pools, dotted with isolated farmhouses and Romanesque hermitages in unthinkable places: the dream of every hiker, mountain lover, and nature enthusiast! It has been declared a Natural Interest Space for its important biological richness. At Can Coll de Pincaró we live dedicated to the development of a sustainable rural culture in accordance with the principles of permaculture, and we have focused on three areas of activity: • Bringing the rural reality closer through active ecotourism and involvement in local projects • Ecological horticulture, poultry farming, and gastronomy within the context of a self-sufficient family farm • Offering a space for training in different techniques for the development of the human being in harmony with their internal and external nature. We have two types of accommodation: - Two rooms with private bathroom, spacious and cozy, with centralized wood heating, for stays on a half-board basis. Our clients have at their disposal the fabulous terrace with panoramic views and the spacious living room. We offer a very careful cuisine, using almost exclusively our own ecological products from harvesting and processing, as well as those from other local ecological producers, to prepare the specialties of the house. Breakfasts on the terrace, with homemade bread and pastries, homemade jams from our fruit trees, homemade cold cuts and fresh fruit juices, are an invaluable treat for the senses. - An independent accommodation, fully equipped, on the ground floor of the farmhouse, for max. 8 people. It has a large room with a full kitchen and fireplace, dining area and living room area (with two double sofa beds); a bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed; and a full bathroom. The spaces are spacious and bright, with high vaulted ceilings. In addition, it has stone porches that create a cozy terrace open to the courtyard, with wooden tables and chairs, and a barbecue with firewood available. The house enjoys natural air conditioning, as the 80 cm thick stone walls ensure perfect insulation. We also have a versatile open-plan room of 100m2, with parquet flooring, suitable for various activities such as yoga, meditation, dance, ... We also offer our organic products: • Bread and fresh pasta. • Seasonal vegetables. • Fresh eggs. • Homemade pâté and cold cuts. • Homemade jams and preserves. In the house, we have 3 adorable dogs and several cats, and all animals are welcome, being able to freely roam in all areas of the house, both indoors and outdoors. However, we ask for a supplement of €5/night per dog/cat.
