Cal Maginet

Cal Maginet is a splendid village house in the middle of the medieval nucleus of Vilaverd. This small village, located in the heart of Catalonia, sheltered by the Prades Mountains, in an area limited by the Francolí, still preserves the authentic structure of a unique, narrow and winding street with branches and corners full of charm. On the ground floor, nine stone arches are preserved in perfect condition, in the characteristic civil Gothic style of the area, as well as what used to be a public laundry area. We also find traces of an oil mill and some stone-carved troughs. The staircase is crowned by a magnificent dome decorated in the style of the 19th century (of the time), with an oval skylight that brings light and warmth to the entire house. Other everyday elements, such as clay floors and wooden beams, will accompany you during your stay in the house. We have 8 comfortable and stylish double rooms. The eight rooms are located on the first floor, distributed around two living rooms. All of them are equipped with a bathroom and heating.
