La Torre de Mejanell

The Mejanell Tower is an ancient castle from the 11th century, of which the circular Defense Tower with a current height of 13 meters has been preserved. The farmhouse was built in the 14th century and was perfectly integrated into the Tower, using its curved wall as part of the house. The entire medieval complex is part of the regional assets of national interest (BCIN), and the accommodations of the Catalan Jacobean route. The house has been restored, respecting its original characteristics to the maximum, and converted into a quality rural accommodation where you can enjoy the history and tranquility of the property. Some of the castle walls, as well as the arches, stable, and cellar, have been preserved. The house consists of three floors with a capacity of 12 to 17 people. It has four bathrooms, one of which is located on the ground floor. On the ground floor, there is also a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. The living room has a fireplace.
