La Polvoreria

La Polvoreria is a farmhouse located in Bigues i Riells, on the right bank of the Tenes River, in the middle of a rural nucleus, still today in an agricultural-livestock area. This allows you to enjoy the tranquility of the area and the convenience of being less than 5 minutes walk from most of the necessary services of the tourist town, also open on Sundays. It is worth mentioning a cooperative with an oil mill and grape press, with an important winery where you can taste and purchase many of the country's specialties. The renovated rural house is named La Polvoreria due to its origin before 1630, when a gunpowder miller lived there, that is, someone who prepared gunpowder. Nowadays, it is a comfortable house divided into two floors that enjoys 5 double rooms, 2 full bathrooms, a toilet, and a spacious and well-equipped kitchen-dining room. The lobby is used as a living room and a wide staircase leads to the upper floor, where four of the five rooms are located. The ground floor room is a comfortable suite. The house has the most modern appliances and comfort services, so your stay will be very pleasant. One of the rooms is barrier-free for people with reduced mobility, while the others are accessible via a wide staircase. The 500 m² garden with a swing, covered barbecue, and garage will allow you and your children to enjoy a memorable vacation in a cozy place that will be hard to forget.
