Cal Porxo

Located in the center of the village of Pradell de la Teixeta, in the Priorat region, the house is easily recognizable for the uniqueness of its two large entrance porches. The porches were discovered during the restoration works and are the reason for the name that the house has had for many years. The porch on the left is the entrance to the rural house, while the porch on the right provides access to the agro-shop of gastronomic products from Priorat. The rehabilitation of the house has been carried out respecting as much as possible all those structural elements that characterize the village houses of this period, wooden beams, stone walls, etc.... Carefully uncovering the original stone walls without exceeding what is acceptable. The stone also provides thermal inertia that allows preserving heat during winter and freshness during summer. The finishes and details of the house have been made with noble materials, handmade clay flooring, wood, handmade ceramic sinks, etc.... But all this, combined to achieve a final sensation of balance, comfort, rusticity, and modernity. Cal Porxo is distributed over three floors. On the ground floor, there is the entrance hall. On the first floor, there is a living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and a single room. On the second floor, there are two double bedrooms, a bathroom, a study, a laundry room, and finally, on the third floor, the terrace. Cal Porxo offers the following amenities: Fully equipped kitchen: oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, Nespresso coffee machine with different capsules depending on the length of stay. Bed linen with washing machine and iron. Free crib. Travel bathtub for babies. Hairdryers. Central heating. WI-FI internet throughout the house. In the entrance area of the house, there is tourist information about Priorat and the surrounding regions. Cleaning starting from the third day of stay and every three days (cleaning will be charged for stays shorter than 12 days for an amount of 60 euros per day of service). The client can waive this service. Full fridge service upon arrival at the house: this service consists of offering (at the client's request) products that can be found in the agro-shop to enjoy during the stay at Cal Porxo or the possibility of having prepared dishes for the day of arrival or any other day when cooking is not desired. In summer, free access to the municipal swimming pool.
