Don’t hesitate any longer: this hotel is amazing and you should book your room straight away. I am quite a picky person and I have no complaints whatsoever about this place. Firstly, it is beautiful. The ceilings are high, the doors are big and wooden, and the whole place is very tastefully decorated with art pieces from around the world. Whenever I was inside, both in the rooms and in the common/lobby area, I was surrounded by the delicious smell of wood. If you can afford to do so, I recommend booking a room with “views”. Although Camprodon as a whole is gorgeous and even the rooms that face the street have a beautiful view of the city, the view from the rooms that face the mountains is… breathtaking. The hostess is a very friendly and attentive lady. A buffet-type breakfast is provided in the morning. Everything is fresh and delicious, but I would like to highlight the jam that they prepare in-house. I am not even a jam person and I really enjoyed it. Definitely have all your other meals at the hotel’s restaurant. I have no words to describe how delicious the food was. I especially loved the steak and the duck leg confit. Food quality: check. Kind and attentive staff: check. Delicious included-with-your-meal bread: check. View of the river: check. Peace and quiet: check. It’s an A++. I will be ending this review here because I am beginning to feel quite sad that I am not at Mas de Xaxas right now.

We stayed here for 3 nights in the peak tourist season and were amazed at the warm welcome, views of the river and services offered by this hotel. Upon entering the hotel, my first impression was the touch of class that it offers from a mosaic floor entrance hall to a study room with books and comfortable sofas. The bedroom was very comfortable with a luxurious limestone shower wall in the en-suite. Breakfast was an unforgettable expressions from the newly-opened restaurant with views across the river and a huge variety of local and national breakfast food to choose from. Our hosts, Victor and Maria Angeles went out of their way to guide us and advise us on local places to visit ensuring a very positive experience indeed overall.

Hotel Mas de Xaxas is this kind of place you would go every time you could. We booked rooms for the whole family: 3 rooms for couples. We had a great time in every possible way: the place is very well run, service was outstanding; breakfast, excellent, and both the room and the common areas we're neat. We were lucky because there were just a few other guests, but I believe that you can have a good time even when the place is full. Eager to go again soon.
