Can Llorigó

The rural house Can Llorigó is a completely renovated 14th-century farmhouse located within the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa, 300 meters above the rest of Olot, La Fageda d'en Jordà, the Croscat Volcano, and the Santa Margarita Volcano. Inside the house, there is a dining room with a fireplace, a large hallway, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, two doubles and one with two single beds and a double sofa bed, all with private bathrooms. It is 140 square meters of living space and over a thousand square meters of garden. The owners live on the upper part, independent from the rest of the farmhouse. Batet de la Serra is one of the most beautiful places in the Natural Park because it combines forests, pastures, and some isolated farmhouses with cabins and dry stone walls made of volcanic rock. In this place of multiple legends is where the first volcanoes originated, now only evidenced by different lava flows, already cooled and superimposed on each other, shaping a gentle relief. Batet de la Serra is a village and former municipality in La Garrotxa that was annexed to the municipality of Olot in 1971. It is located in the so-called Batet plateau and the population is scattered. As a center, we find the parish church of Santa Maria, which used to be a school and a rectory. Take this winding road (GIV-5241) until kilometer 2.6 where you will find a signposted detour with the toponym Camí de Santa Maria, take this road until you find a church.
