Cal Serni

Cal Serni is a farmhouse that was built in the 15th century with stone, slate, and wood. It is one of the few inhabited museum houses in Catalonia, where more than 80% of what is consumed in the house is produced through agricultural activities that have been functioning since its beginnings. The surroundings of the house are privately owned and dedicated to the use and enjoyment of the visiting guests. It is a farmhouse located in the village of Calvinyà, a small municipality belonging to Valls de Valira. Its southwesterly orientation gives it a mild Mediterranean climate during winter and hot summers. The village is located on a plateau above the town of La Seu d'Urgell with panoramic views from which we can see from the Principality of Andorra to Cerdanya. The owners conceive rural tourism as a method for those eager to experience the essence of gastronomy, culture, and leisure to do so from a completely family-oriented perspective.
