Cal Jafra belongs to Grup Cal Jafra along with nine other rural houses, with a maximum capacity of 6 to 30 people. It has a Calçotades service. Cal Jafra is Enotourism, gastronomy and leisure. It is a unique accommodation in the heart of Penedès. To enjoy the tranquility of a village, enotourism, the beaches of the Costa Daurada, gastronomy, wine and traditions. Village house built approximately 150 years ago and completely restored in 2011, preserving all the typical architectural elements of a village house. It has a capacity for 16 people, with the possibility of increasing it to 21 people. The entire house has heating. Ground floor: • The large bastion of the entrance. • Living-dining room with fireplace. • The kitchen. • The porch equipped with garden furniture (30m2) • The garden with barbecue (100m2) • WC. The kitchen is equipped with all kinds of appliances, refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, juicer, blender, kitchen tools, complete cookware, dishes, glassware, cutlery, tablecloths, washing machine, everything for 14-21 people. First Floor • 1 double room with its own living room (possibility of extra bed) • 1 room with 2 single beds. • 1 living room. • 1 double room (possibility of extra bed). • 1 duplex-type bedroom with 4 beds (possibility of an extra bed). • 2 full bathrooms. • 1 jacuzzi. All rooms and common areas have heating, TV installation, Wi-Fi, bed linen, and bathrobes. • Upon request, a crib for children. Welcome Dinner: Upon arrival at Cal Jafra, guests have the opportunity to sit directly at the table and enjoy a lunch/dinner of typical products from the Penedès region; organic products, wines from the Penedès area, typical desserts... • Weekly shopping: At the time of making the reservation, you can order all the products you need during your stay at Cal Jafra; milk, jams, drinks, our grandmother's cake, meats for the barbecue, etc... And we will do the shopping for you, we will leave everything prepared for the day you arrive so that you have everything you need to eat, organized and fresh. • Take away: We bring the restaurant to your home. Mushroom Season: The Montmell mountain range from early October to mid-November becomes an ideal place to go mushroom hunting. Accompanied by a Mushroom Master, you can discover the different species of mushrooms in the area, the vegetation and the fauna, while enjoying the landscape and nature of Montmell. The same Mushroom Master, once you arrive at Cal Jafra, will teach you how to identify, classify and preserve them; and if you're lucky and the harvest has been good, you can taste dishes made with Montmell mushrooms. An activity designed for both adults and children, to learn and enjoy at the same time. Xató and Calçots Season: In Penedès, the Xató and Calçotades festivals are typical. At Cal Jafra, we organize a typical meal for you with the Xató Master and at the same time, the Calçotada. Early in the morning, all the preparations begin, the firewood for the fire, the mortar for the sauce, the wine jugs, cleaning the calçots... and guided by a professional chef throughout the day, until lunchtime, our chef will explain and help them prepare the Xató Sauce, and everything necessary to taste an authentic calçotada. Cal Jafra offers you the possibility to do it yourselves, without the help of our chef, and we will provide you with everything you need for the Xatonada and the Calçotada; the calçots, our Xató sauce, meat, wine, firewood, etc... Gastronomic and oenology workshops: It is always good to learn how to cook different things, preserves, summer dishes, festive dishes, aphrodisiacs...
