Hotel Balneari Prats

Best outdoor warm pool. Very relaxing. Food quality amazing and have a massage also very good. Great to relax and disconnect

My friend and I went to spend 2 days at the spa 'Balneari Prats' in Caldes de Malavella in the province of Girona, a 100 km drive from Barcelona. The location and facilities are great: a parking lot for the clients, a quiet outdoor swimming pool, a nice terrace under the shade of the trees, a big modern dinning room with warm colours and kind staff. But we were not told that there are 2 different kind of rooms: a few are bright and modern but some other rooms have a 1960s decoration, they are plain, with old furniture and have rusty window frames that need to be replaced (see the pics). Even though the old ones are cheaper, in my opinion they're not good value for money. We complained about that and they replied they have a low budget to carry on with the renovation after the 'Pandemic'. Therefore, our advice is just to bear in mind these different kind of rooms in your next booking.

A beautiful hotel surrounded by wonderful staff in a great location. The staff were extremely helpful- helped us with a language a lot as we don’t speak Spanish.stayed over the Christmas period had a room upgrade for no extra charge on arrival which was very welcoming. Hotel rooms on the left wing are modern and very confortable. Breakfast is typical catalan with omelette show cooking. Perfect for relaxing, as there is a free 34C pool outside amongst many services (paid)

I love It so much, relaxing and with a very interesting village to walk arround!!
